Commissioned work
Completely handmade, his head and talons were sculpted from polymer clay and painted in acrylics. The body has a faux fur base covered in real feathers. Feathers are from cockatoos, parrots, peacocks, doves, chickens and some from my very own ducks! It can be posed and the feet can grasp. The tail can fan in and out like a real bird tail! I wanted the wings capable of folding in but this was all so new to me so they only have slight movement to them. They can go up and down and slightly fold in.

All the feathers were permanently dyed by me. The yellow in the large feathers are natural coloring from cockatoos, the rest of the feathers started out completely white. If it is blue it was dyed! I really enjoyed dying them, especially the stripes, and although it was a ton of work i can't wait to work with some more feathers!

Approximately 786+or- feathers were used.
Measurements: 13” from the ground to top of head, 21” from tail to beak, 38” wingspan.

No birds were harmed in the making of this bird! The feathers used are all naturally molted from happy birds! Meaning they were collected from the ground or bottom of cage. Feathers were purchased as naturally molted from bird rescues, businesses and pet owners. There are also some duck feathers that were collected and saved from my passed ducks.
